Senior Payroll Specialist

Function

The purpose of the job:

As Senior Payroll Specialist you will join a small team and work together to optimize all payroll related matters in the Airhub Liège for 1350 employees, in total. You will report to the Payroll Manager Belgium, and you will be the link between the business teams, HR, Finance and the payroll organization. You will also be able to participate in international payroll related projects and participate in European payroll meetings.

More specifically, you will have the following key - responsibilities:

• Process of the monthly payroll for the company in accordance with relevant collective agreement and salary conditions for Belgium
• Share your payroll knowledge and expertise with the other team members.
• Specialize in relevant local regulations and Company principles, processes, tools, and best practices.
• Provide accurate advice to management and staff on payroll matters or the use of the local Time & Attendance (T&A) tool (Protime).
• Identify potential payroll related issues or opportunities and develop recommendations for Payroll Management.
• Ensure that all hours, deductions, and payroll instructions are processed accurately by the outsourced provider in accordance with the monthly instruction.
• Coordinate the development of Payroll and T&A Systems that support effective information management and informed decision making.

Profile

If you are the ideal candidate for the role of Senior Payroll Specialist,

You have:

• A bachelor’s degree
• A good command of French and English.
• Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking capabilities and an eye for detail
• Broad knowledge and experience in Belgian social legislation.
• Solid experience in Payroll Processes, preferably within a large fast-paced organization.
• Ability to engage with key stakeholders at all levels.
• The ability to actively participate in meetings and convince others of your opinion.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize a busy workload.
